The storyline covers thirteen years of the woman’s lives over 8 seasons.  The story about neighbor women takes part in the fictional town ‘Fairview’ and fictional ‘Eagle State’. The street Wisteria line is nice peaceful place with green lawns and beautiful houses. It is very nice place where you know all your neighbors. In my opinion, it is great fantasy and myth. They know each other, they are friends. All women who live in this place look like sisters. While the plot is rising, you can see that behind every fence there are a lot of secrets. If you look carefully inside of every happy house, you can find not only success and happiness; you can find jealousy, passion, lust, and awful murder.

It is always hot on Wisteria Lane. Desperate housewives have their problems and emotions: friendship, fun, sex, excitements, danger, and men – everything is very valuable for women. They discuss some things, but some things are big secrets.

In first season, the show reveals the mystery of why Mary Alice suicide unexpectedly.  In my opinion, it was very unusual that murdered Mary explained to viewers everything what is going on Wisteria Lane. She talked with the viewers like with big friends. It looked like she is not alive now and she can tell everything she knows.

The show featured an ensemble cast. We can see that the main characters are Teri Hatcher as Susan Mayer, Felicity Huffman as Lynette Scavo, Maria Cross as Bree Van de Kamp, and Eva Longoria as Gabrielle Solis.

Who are they in the movie? Susan Mayer is a divorced mother with a sense of humor. She is searching her love. Lynette Scavo is a former businesswoman turned stressed out stay-at –home mother of four. Bree Van Kamp is struggling to save her marriage. Gabrielle Solis is an ex-model.

Great actresses and actors of America acted in the movie. It is a great value of film Desperate Housewives.

Who is a target audience for Desperate Housewives movie? I think a lot of American people watched these serials. For example, who is targeted sex?  I would have to say female are watching for this target, although men also watch it as well. Has this movie targeted age?  In my opinion, teenagers to 40's, however, they aim to appeal to the typical "housewife". Targeted people of different races and nationalities, I would say here is an American Background, thus including all races.  Now this movie is translated for many languages, in this way it became international. For the statues I believe is it targeted for more wealthy people, middle class or lower class as well. The film is very popular.

In my opinion, the film series promotes positive values: good neighborhood, nice houses, beautiful women, and interesting stories.  In the same time we can see here negatives values: crazy people, murderers, drug addictions, and betrayals.

If anybody ask me what I would recommend to watch for studying American lifestyles, language, neighborhoods, and traditions; I will recommend watching Desperate Housewives.
